Hotel Bethel at the heart of Nyhaven
The walk from the tram stop was pretty good. It was unfortunate that there is so much construction going on right now. Huge green temporary walls are all over the place to cover up the construction noise and dust.
It took us around 10 minutes to walk with our luggage through the cobblestone streets and sidewalks to get to the Hotel Bethel. Beta picked a great place because it’s right on the famous Nyhaven canal area. Check out the Hotel Bethel post for a full review.
We gazed at the beautiful multi-colored buildings on the opposite side of the canal as we weaved through the pedestrians while avoiding the ubiquitous bicyclists.
Neither of us have been to a city with so many people biking everywhere, and it’s in the afternoon on a Thursday, doesn’t anyone work here??? Beta is jealous.
The receptionist told us that we were so lucky since this was the first day they had in months that felt like summer. 75 degrees Fahrenheit outside. Little did they know we wanted the colder gloomy weather.
The tap water is indeed good and very drinkable and after short break to freshen up, we were ready to explore!
