Airports are cool but still a pain
We got to the airport even before the ticket counter opened! As soon as the previous airline began closing down, we hopped right in line for our flight and still we were the SECOND in line! Before the counter even opened, the economy class line was full! It feels like a sign of things to come for this trip…
Maybe it's all the travelling I've done in the past years but security lines don't bother me as much as they used to. There was a time when I didn't trust the millimeter wavelength scanners, but having been through so many it's not so much a matter of trust as routine now. We made it to the gate with plenty of time to spare. The new international terminal remodeling is really really nice, there's lots of upscale shops and eateries. The seats even have plugs and USB ports to charge all of the phones and tablets that every one carries.
Can you tell how many devices are in this picture? What did we do to pass the time in the terminals before smartphones?!? It's pretty amazing that free WiFi is pretty ubiquitous around the world now too. What an age we live in…
Ouch, and now it seems that our flight boarding is going to be delayed by at least 30 minutes.
